Seen a couple of posts on older games, and this one bugs me, as I have never seen anything about it...almost to the point of thinking perhaps I imagined the whole thing....

Turn based strategy game.
Main game screen is a picture of europe.
"Battles" are on a second screen, essentially a risk-style dice battle.
Soldiers/tanks/planes/$$$/food generate according to what cities you hold.

Not sure of era, but think it might be WWII, as I vaguely remember infantry drops and aerial base attacks.

I think the screen was a black and purple/mauve/red scheme, with black/white text and only a few still images.

Any ideas?

thanks for the try but no.

I'm thinking EGA or very early VGA (16 colour), no battle screens apart from the two pictures.
