I think i've written this before, but i actually do pay attention to what this dj-ryan dude tips us. Ulfah was a great run cc day and i wouldn't have looked at it twice had djryan not tipped it.

Having said that, I stuck with El Segundo on saturday. :o

It wasn't hard to spot Ulfah's run the race before his CC day run, anyone who saw the replay would have given her a big chance the next run.

True, but i don't blindly tip what he says either. It's more like, I look at everything he tips, and then make up my own mind...
This might sound wierd, but the fact he appears dyslexic actually boosts his credibility in my mind. :)

Like the guy from Rain Man? If he started handing out tips I'd certainly follow them (don't know that his problem was dyslexia though).

I'm pretty sure rain man was autistic, djryan doesn't sound autistic he does write some words phoenetically though which makes me think he's a bit dyslexic. Nothing wrong with that, not making any values judgement on him, just it would fit in with how many racing people are, stablehands, strappers etc.
Might be nowhere near the mark on that.:)

Rain Man had Asperger's syndrome. It's a form of autism but suffrerers (in extreme cases) tend to focus on one thing to the detriment of almost everything else.

So, would that mean that they would focus on say, horse racing, or one particular aspect of it?

Yep. More than likely to be something like the results of a particular race or jockey or course.

Years ago we got lost coming back from a trip to Healesville sanctuary. We were in Cockatoo on an old dirt track and didnt have a melways. A five year old AS sufferer we had on the bus had memorised all the road maps in the melways and knew exactly where we were and how to get back to the main road.
