Look I know we played like shit tonight and I'm not feeling very optimistic, but if there is one positive from tonight, I think it is quite clear that last year was just a bad season and Alan Didak is definitely not finished!

Didak did Show a Bit.

Beams was my Postive and Just after he Re-Signed came out and did not Change what he was doing

Beams, Didak, Seedsman, Sidebotton, Thomas all in very good form.
Taz is a great defender and must play there not forward
Swan and Johno both back next week
Finals only two weeks away.

Not just one positive but lots of them

still wont go get the hard ball, which is unacceptable for senior player
Not exactly. Of course you'd expect a perfect player, someone with his freakish skills and goes hard at the ball but we don't live in fantasy land.

You take him as it is, it's too hard to mould him at the end of his career, and we keep him if he fits our gameplan, if not we can't use him.

That's how it is in all sports.

stills leave a shitful example for our younger players.

Didak does not go in as hard as Burns did. Ok, point taken.

To dismiss all his other qualities and attributes is unfair. He shows young players pinpoint disposal under pressure and smart decision making. That's a hell of an example to set for first year players...

Just remember his kick from the boundary line against Sydney. How many players do we have that would nail that shot like he did?

My best Daicos memories are not his tackles. :)

Not really, HOPEFULLY our younger players are more realistic than you are, and realise that playing styles are just as different as personalities and don't focus on the negatives but the positives.

Our gameplan picked apart.
Our inability to play against a team that values uncontested possession
Our forwards don't know where to lead
Our midfielders doing their best to avoid hitting our forwards on the chest
Our unwillingness to tag the best opposition players
Getting outscored by 50 points after the first 15 minutes of the game

Great positives

My positives:

-we haven't lost two matches in a row in a long time, we usually bounce back very strong
-the loss has hopefully come at a time where we'll be kicked into action and hit the ground running from here on in
-Beams has exploded to become close to the best player in the comp
-Didak is back and looking more like the dangerous player we knew
-Seedsman was great and offered real class disposal out of defence
-Benny Johnson is back if his VFL form is any indication, and Krak is thereabouts as well.
-Swan and Toovey (Tooves being our most underrated player) will be back this week.
-We're good interstate and are good when our backs are against the wall

I've still got faith that we can give it a big shake.

Three main positives from Saturday:

Didak is looking like his old self.

Beams is an out and out star and will be ours for many many years.

We're not Essendon.
