Only 1 Collingwood game on Ch 7 between Rd 11- Rd 23

Just want to let everybody know that by the time Rd 23 rolls around, Channel 7 in Brisbane will have showed only 1 Collingwood game since our win over Melbourne in Rd 11.

Week in, week out we get shafted as Suns or Lions game clash with the Pies. Never again will I start a football season without Foxtel. 7, you haven't quite executed a Channel 9/Olympics style butchering, but you have done a dreadful job of telecasting the AFL this year.

Obviously it's because collingwood games get the highest ratings. maximising profit that's what it's about.
It's a bit of a kick in the guts to Pies fans who for whatever reason can't get to games or can't afford Foxtel.

I remember last year when I went up to the Gold Coast when we were playing Carlton that weekend. Rushed home one day to watch the game only to find out they were telecasting Gold Coast-Richmond and had to go to an internet cafe to refresh the scores -_-

The broadcasters have got it wrong imo

There would be as many pies fans in qld as Brisbane / goldcoast combined
So why show Brisbane/GC games into qld when their fans can foot the game, show the god damn pies games and boost the ratings.....

You can't blame Channel 7 for hosting the Suns and Lions games live. Pretty sure its apart of the AFL agreement that they show them 2 live and the other 2 they have the choice of. Its designed to boost AFL awareness in the state and eventually grow the qld following. I think the only blatant mistake they have made this year was they had GWS VS Essendon for the first game against the former club while Coll played WC i think..

I for one though wish i had foxtel but my girlfriend is a force of nature and doesn't like football and considering that i would probably watch every single game every week, she probably has a point in saying no to this particular quest.

To be honest, at least we get Friday games live now and we get games on Saturday and Sunday. Still shit covered of the Pies that is to be suspected since we live in QLD.

True. We don't have to stay up all night to watch a game on Friday anymore. Live Sunday too, so I guess we can't have everything. Atleast there will be no clashing in the finals. No QLD teams to be found.

I am spewing about this I had hoped the Pies v Swans game would at least be replayed tonight but find they are showing Saints v Dees they could at least have replayed some of our matches in the midnight slot I am not surprised though bunch of C-nts.

Right On! They have played the worst matches of the round over the last few weeks. WCE v Brisbane, Hawthorn v Bulldogs are a couple that come to mind. It's not hard to look at the schedule and pick decent games.
