Opening NAT Settings

trying to open my NAT settings on my Laptop. have an Xbox 360 and my connection is strict/restricted to online games. been looking on google/youtube for help and tried a few things but cant find to get it done.

i have a wireless telstra router, tried the simple turning off router, resetting the internet connection on the 360 but with no luck.

any help for me guys?

I have similar troubles on my PS3. I'm not an expert, but it is my understanding that the nat type is more of a rating of your internet connection rather than a setting that can be toggled.

Btw are you running a wireless connection?

That link is your friend. I remember doing it a while back. One thing to consider is putting a static IP on your 360 instead of a dynamic one which is auto-assigned. This is because the ports you will forward will be for a specific IP address and if you have multiple devices with dynamic IPs things could get messy. Alternatively you can place your 360 in the DMZ, I haven't done this but there might be potential security risks to this (am not entirely sure).

Essentially all the tinkering will be done through your router settings page.
