New multiplayer details have been revealed for Op Flashpoint.

The game is sounding REALLY good. The problem is that it's coming out at the worst time possible. If it was out 3 or so months ago then it would've been perfect, but now I most likely will give this a miss which is shit because the game looks like it will be genuinely great to play.

OPERATION FLASHPOINT: DRAGON RISING MULTIPLAYER DETAILED Co-operative play is something that all gamers look for in modern gaming and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising delivers this with the whole campaign being playable in both single player and multi-player co-op modes. Enlist up to three other online Marines and take on the opposition and fight across Skira Island, each mission can be played with a different fire team so don’t worry about needing your team all the way through the campaign.

There is also the ability to play PVP (Player Vs Player) so set yourself up with your three AI Marines and go head to head against a friend or enemy for that matter and go through all the combat scenarios. The game also features two other modes of play called Annihilation and Infiltration, which will see you and your merry band of soldiers engage in the ultimate wargame across Skira Island.

Advice for all:

Do not buy this game. It was woeful. I bought it yesterday and returned it today

Single player:

I started the mission (i had to run a kilometre to my 1st objective) and got shot at from a far, could barely see who i was being shot by. Then by the time i had killed them (with my AI team mates) i had to heal my wounds, put C4 on a truck and blow it up. Next objective: 1.2kms away (on foot again) get close to this one and i get snipered by someone i have been told is "200m to the NE"

Start again. Same outcome. Never actually see who got me. "lets try one more" 1 shot, end game.

Try the multiplayer then. Boring. Start at a spawn point, where you have 4 player controlled team mates and 4 AI to go with. Then we go to a point on one side of a river and shoot across to the guys on the other side who do the same. Repeat for 20 mins.

Checked the leader boards of the MP, and even the person in top spot is bagging out the game in their Bio. Saying that OF is an "epic fail" and boring.

aaarrrrrgggg dont tell me that, was going to pick it up on the weekend but having second thoughts with some(99%) of the reviews i have heard.
Might take advantage of EB's weekly rental i think.

Sounds like a Far Cry 2 clone. Disappointing. Was going to be very hard to pick this game up and give it time with Uncharted and Brutal Legend just around the corner as well as the obvious MW2 next month.

It's not that bad... at all. It's isn't anywhere near as good as Arma 2, though. And to the poster who kept dying, stop trying to play it like cod. You have to stay crouched, and never stay in one spot for too long. You need to quickly scope out cover and you need to be patient and not stick your head out. It's supposed to be a mil-sim, although it's a pretty lightweight one...

Sad that this came out at the time it did. It's been killed by all these huge releases. I'll be getting it eventually but probably not for 6 months
