Anyone else got an Ablett-free team right now, and trying to figure out how to buy the little genius for next week?

He looked like he was doing it pretty easy against the Dees (well, all the Cats did), and should be ready to deliver his particular brand of domination again from next week.

So... how you gonna afford him? Any good ideas?

I don't see the value to be honest.

Had him from Round 1, sold him when he rolled his ankle and haven't looked back. Picked up Sam Fisher and Lenny Hayes, as well as having a few hundred grand left in the kitty to play with for my final two trades. Can't see how he is worth buying at that price tag with a big question mark still.

I have had the cash.. and with 6 trades left.. i took out gibbs (who was my weakest with an av on 8something..) and decided.. hey.. ableett has been out for a while.. had a bit of training cmiing in.. hes got an easy game, gotta be gold.

Ablett 84 and goes down 77k

Gibbs 155 and goes up 35k or something

i.e. i spent 200k to get ablett... i lost my match by 45 because i have ablett rather than gibbs and if i had made the trade 1 week later.. i would be 102k or so richer.
That would be fine to fix wilkes.. AAHHH now im out of money and with a crappy ablett and no gibbs

started with judd, stevens and gibbs.. now just stevens.. (got rid of judd when he went out)...



WILL he RISE again NEXT week>?

I was going to get him this week, but i too don't know if he is worth it..
I'm pretty happy happy with the way my midfield is going.. will now look to upgrade my forward line!

For those of us not fully versed in SuperCoach/DreamTeam speak, how do you calculate breakeven?

Whilst I take people's point that Gary Jnr might not be worth it... I'm in a fricken Semi, against a team that outscored me last week... I need to DO something. Got 4 trades and a tiny bit of cash ($35k or something). Shouldn't have any forced changes this week, but I am carrying Aker and Stiffy in the side at the moment when they don't deserve to be. Was thinking about making a big splash to get Ablett in there with my all-Carlton, all-the-time midfield of Judd, Stevens and Gibbs (plus Hayes and Bartel). I've had those three Blues all year, and Gibbs has been white-hot the last 5-6 weeks. So I can sell down someone (maybe even Simmonds, bring in Kreuzer) and upgrade a ~$250K player to anyone.

It's just a straight-up question. Players' value adjustments are calculated off their last 3 weeks' scores aren't they? So I'm not sure how you work out the breakeven. I'm sure it's not hard, I just am not that familiar with the scoring/player pricing system.

Hodge appears to be a better buy than Gazza at the moment.

I have the trades and money to get Ablett (obviously not this week with huge b/e) but still wondering if it's worth upgrading any of my midfielders.

I have ..... Corey, Goodes, Cross, Stevens, Chapman & K.Cornes

They have all been performing well apart from Cross the past 2 weeks. (and Chappy out obviously)

Anyone think its worth upgrading any of the above??

I had the choice between Hodge and Kirk 2 weeks ago and went Kirk....
Daaang ... regretting it now.
Also got Ablett, was his first week back from injury he will be back as my captain this week. If you didnt include his 2 Frees against he would have scored 100 last week which is not bad considering you would have hardly noticed him all night.
