Is Patterson on ball over Petracca and Sexton at half back over Rioli the right mix?
I understand the long running joke, but, on a serious note, Patterson ain’t replacing Noble, Rioli (both A grade tier excellent on the weekend) or Powell (who can actually elite kick and mark) in the backline, let alone a single mid we have—even when down on form.

TBH, I’m happy for all our picks to have a run of a month of good VFL form before being looked at. Fiorini had to do that to break in and then hold his spot (3+ goals and 40 touches how many times?, so no reason the youngsters (Rogers, Uwland, Patterson, Murray or Addinsal) can’t do the same to earn their spot…

Agreed want integrity, but across the whole park. Some players got backed in far too much and others not at all. Happens in each club. I’m also sure Zeke wouldn’t have had a problem being “omitted” over “managed”. He’s not going to demand a trade or anything like that

Would be great if tonight's match between Brisbane and Geelong remains close and it gives us an opportunity to jump both of them on the ladder and move into the top 4. A draw would be even better, but I highly doubt that's going to happen.

Hope Dimma is watching the forward tag on Andrews. We’ve done it once ever and that was Steven King

Cats going to town
They sure did. To the point that we've jumped into 5th on the ladder now because Brisbane's percentage dropped so much. So a win of any margin tomorrow night will see us jump into 4th on the ladder and then we'll wait to see if the Dees can upset Hawthorn on Saturday because that would keep us in 4th at the end of the round. Alternatively, if we beat Port by 10 goals then we will jump Geelong on percentage and move into 3rd on the ladder with the likelihood of dropping to 4th on Saturday after the Hawks-Dees game.

I think it'd be good for us to get into the top 4 before the bye. That's where we want to be going into the post-bye QClash at PFS.
