Politics Orangutans

I wasn't entirely sure as to where to post this but settled here. I would just like to try and raise awareness about an extrmely intelligent and endangered species. The Sumatran species is critically endangered and the Bornean species of orangutans is endangered. The total number of Bornean orangutans is estimated to be less than 14 percent of what it was in the recent past (from around 10,000 years ago until the middle of the twentieth century). The main issue that orangutans are facing is a lack of habitat. Constant palm-oil factories are being buit and their habitat is being wiped away. I'm quite passionate about these species and so am going to post a few videos that I think should help increase awareness.

i saw the chimps on the herald sun seem to mourn the death of one of their fellow 'zees. I dont doubt their intellect and it is sad that larger ape/monkey species' fate seem to be at the hands of man.

It's tragic that another species of animal is being wiped out by us humans. There is a push to try & have products with palm oil listed on packaging, so people can avoid buying those products & stop anymore devastion.
