I recently rang and complained (they are in breach of contract etc) about foxfooty being taken off air, I had every intention of pulling out.
To my surprise they lowered my monthly bill by $10 and gave me access to almost all of the channels i wasn't getting before, they even gave me 1 free box office movie per month.

I now pay $66.94 for all but a couple of channels + the free box office movie
So if you are a subscriber give em a call, while you can get something.

I had fox waaaaay before fox footy was in, so would be pointless for me.

I contacted them about the same thing and they offered nothing other than that their legal opinion was that my contract, which has a year to run, is binding. I think I might just test that one though when the footy season ends.

I just quoted from my start up pack, which included foxfooty. And told them that they were in breach,not me. (i was serious btw and fully intended to cancel).
the first guy regered me to another department. The second guy gave me the same story as you, I threatned consumer affairs and the media if they tried to charge me. The last guy folded pretty easily.
it took all week before i got some satisfaction, but it wasnt that hard.
my new deal starts on the 1st of October, after footy finishes.
BTW their constant line was about having footy games, mine was about the shows, Headliners, WLF, On the couch, old farts ETC.

you had become a dedicated fox footy viewer, and it was the only thing that kept you going. without it, you will have to reconsider your subscription.
