Addictive isn’t the word to describe it. Went to have a look and stayed on it for 1hour 20 mins.

Great Game, super effort with the game only allowing you to bat, no one ever likes to bowl.

Rating out of 5

Two and a half out of 5. :D

Before Super Nintendos, Megadrives, Playstations and XBoxs stole our lives, how many people used to love playing Test Match?

Ironing the mat, clipping the fences together, yelling "it's not caught, your fielder fell over!"...

Ah, memories...

Yep, played it a few weeks back for the first time in like 12 years, fired up the “old school” test match with my nephew. Great fun :D

When I was a kid (7 or 8) I accidentally trod on the stumps and snapped them as we were setting up. So what did i do? I threw the two broken pieces away (the wickets and the base) and drew on the mat with pen two crosses that I estimated would be the size of the wickets so the guy batting had to act as a sort of goal umpire to judge if he was out or not.

This is despite the fact that the ball rolls along the mat, thus though broken, the base bit could still serve perfectly as the stumps... good one!

i get like 30 an over until Emburey and Hadley come on and they stuff me up big time!! always lose wickets and cant score off emburey... only get 2s n 3 my high score for the slog is 3/239 with Ganguly making 102 and Sehwag 121*

I suck too my best score is only 63!

That Embury is a bastard to hit, all i seem to do is defend!
your not wrong about it being addictive! I'll be here for hours now!

I am still comming to grips with the slower bowlers but I think you have to play a little later. Wait until the ball bounces and determine which way it is spinning. Usually with the off spinners you can alway slog them to cow corner but have a bit more trouble with the leggies.

mate i only just managed to beat the USA !!!

i am crap at this game !!

is it timing or just plain luck !
timing... ive won the whole being the USA:p you just have to time the ball properly and it normally goes for 4 or 6!! its getting boring though now bevause i have been playing for a couple of weeks and i win the championship easily, it helps that i have the old version my computer, because you use to download it and play it on your own computer! this one is better though, players look better and you can be any team not just Asutralia!

Tried this game and sucked hard. Give us a tip. Do you look at the suggestion shot icon or do you just pick the shot to play?

You have to play the shot of the shot selection if you wish to score runs, except on a straight delivery where you can either choose to play or block.

It's all about timing, you get used to it pretty quickly, except with the straight delivery that takes a long time to master.

Another quick tip if you don't know already, when playing a shot almost always hold shift (power hit - 4s, 6s and 9s).

Cheers.

tks for the tip dyertribe, I only just realised that where the suggested shot icon appears is where the ball is going to land. That makes it easier. Still hav not done that great yet though. Give me a few days :)

Let me have my moment in the sun - then when we get bowled out for 95 in the first innings of the next ashes test then at least i'll always have the victory over Australia in the mickey mouse champions trophy to look back on and savour ;)
