How true are there rumours of Otto with O.P.?
This was on gfc.com.au:
Thompson said Brad Ottens, currently out with a groin injury, was the only player likely to return for next week's match against Sydney at the SCG.

my mate was at the surgeon getting stuff done and otto was in the line in front of him and he reckons there was a fair bit wrong. dont think op tough.

It seems every time someone has a groin injury now there's a rumour that it's O.P.

I'd be surprised if he's back this week if he's had a tear of the groin muscle. It would be more like a 3-4 week injury if that's what he's done.

Lets hope it is only that - a rumour! We need The Big O this week he would be huge for us if he played!

He has O.P.
Hopeful of managing it through the rest of the season.
GFC have tried to rest him as long as possible, likely to play this week, but the injury is by no means resolved.

Well, with a name like Mr X, you would hope he hasn't done a Homer Simpson and started making up lies...lies make Baby Jesus cry!!
C'mon Mr X, what's your source?

If you are expecting me to point you to a location where this is written down, then it cannot be done. We are talking about the GFC and injuires here, you will never learn the truth through the media.

I have a couple of sources, one within the club and another through reliable media close to the club, that have confirmed the OP.

Watch the way he has trained the last 3 weeks and it is obvious anyway.

How long last season was it before Gary Ablett's OP was confirmed? GFC never tell you a thing unless they absolutley have run out of other excuses.

I never expect to be directed to a written statement released by the club, I just wanted to hear if you're mates with a club trainer and may have heard something...or maybe you spend a lot of time at the ground, and just make your own assumptions...etc, that's what I wanted clarified.
You obviously have strong convictions about this, so can you back yourself up and elaborate further on your sources?
If you have genuine sources, please elaborate further...I don't want their names, but something about what they told you would be nice (other than Ottens has OP)...otherwise I have sources in the Whitehouse that say you're vague and annoying.

Frankly, I can't be bothered elaborating further, so consider me vauge and annoying.

Brad was carrying the injury for at least a few games before finally missing, and now it is a matter of how long they can afford to be without him, as he will not fully recover without a long rest period and possible surgery. He will be nursed through the rest of the season.

Cannot reveal anymore about sources, apart from that they have come from a source within the club that has confirmed the injury, not through my own observation.

So he's playing this week and will play most games for the rest of the season, but won't be at full fitness?
