It was really hard to split Dustin and Jobe. Both are sublime at what they do and are so important to us. In the end I went with Fletch because he is still the only person in the team that I feel relaxed with when he has the ball. I think he will be the biggest loss to the club when he eventually retires. Long may he play on!

jobe, fantastic clearance player and we would struggle to get the ball out of the middle without him

DYSON!!!

haha nah just kidding.

I don't think we have any standouts. The best all round player we have is probably McVeigh. When he is fit.

In order:

1: Mcveigh - Gun!
2: Watson - Best hands in the AFL..
3: Hille - Elite Ruckman, Watson his partner in crime..
4: Stanton - Just a good, consistent player.
5: Lovett - Just an absolute star, breaks the lines, game winner!

Fletcher, Lloyd, Winderlich, Dempsey, McPhee, Monfries, Lonergan, Lucas all very reliable for winning.

Overall... McVeigh = Our best Player.

Our "best" player is obviously a coin toss between Lloyd and Fletcher both polar opposites but both with the runs on the board.

Our most important player is probably Watson atm with him being our clearance king and the key to us moving the ball forward which is the aim of the game!

Paddy Ryder of course!!

In all seriousness, I think last year that Mark McVeigh showed that he was a class above most of our other players. Let's hope that he can string a few games together and get on the park regularly.

Over the last five rounds, I would have to say Watson. Our game plan relies heavily on run and carry and Watson is the player that enables this. McVeigh will add to this once he gets fit. To a certain extent, Fletcher also does this with his long and pinpoint kicks that set us up to "flash" forward from the half back line.

OK, so I thought you meant the Anzac day match and I voted for Pat Ryder. But just the same, I think that great run by Andy Lovett in those fantastic last three minutes deserves a mention. He just out ran the Magpie right, right, right, right up the corridor and produced a goal. Sensational stuff!! :thumbsu:

Jobe Watson

One of the best clearance players in the AFL and his foot skills have improved dramatically.

ps. For a slow player he makes the opposition look slow, great footy brain around packs!

It'd be out of David Hille, Mark McVeigh or Jobe Watson. I'll go Hille, purely because he is our only above average ruckman; Plus elite at that.

McVeigh currently but I can see Stanton catching him in the next two years with hopefully Ryder.
Hille played so well last year but I think players such as Lloyd and Fletcher would still have it over him.
Our best 3-5 players are all above 27, that still worries me. I'm hoping a kid or two can step up, hopefully Zaka, Reimers, Houli, Pris etc can step up this year and next year.
