OUR CHEERSQUAD

OK well it had been talked about in the last few days but i think its time that we voiced our true feelings on the cheersquad. (c/s)

I think that it isnt the best one in the comp, and there are a number of reasons for that. They dont cheer very loud, they r not the most supportive c/s in the league. I was told by a girl at the footy once that last year the c/s were bagging Travis Johnstone. I mean come on, that is not what they r suppose to do. One of the roles of the c/s is to SUPPORT THE PLAYERS. that isnt a very good job.

Every time they have come to adelaide i must admit the whole c/s hasnt come over, BUT the group of supporters from adelaide and that cheered louder than they did. They like to do there own thing when they come over here. And they ask for your help with the banner, and then turn around and snub u for the rest of the day. Its like its suppose to be an exclusive group that no one else can join. The think they have the run of the mill wherever they r, this includes when the players are around. I thought that the boys were accessible to everyone. Not just to the bimbos that run the c/s. It disgusts me the way that they run things over there. They really need to shake things up a bit and get a decent resemblance of a c/s started, instead of tarting themselves up to take the banner onto the ground on the off chance that they may be seen on tv. im sorry if u guys disagree, but i think it is time for a change. they need new people down there sorting the c/s out.

Now i challenge ANY MEMBER OF THE CHEERSQUAD to come and defend themselves, and give ONE decent excuse as to why they r so pissweak.

well i am not in the Melbourne cheersquad but i rate them as one of the best i have seen. Full of young ppl unlike most other teams cheersquads where crabby bats on power trips r in charge or fat arsed old men taking up 2 seats. Melbournes cheersquad seems fresh and the chant leader guy is full of passion (yes he is Melbourne) and often gets not only their side of the redlegs area going but also our side on the other half of the race G. They do a mighty fine job of the banner and dragging in and out the props every week and i always see them down at the rooms after the games waiting for the boys. At Colonial Stadium especially at that game last year (Dees Roos) the cheersquad bashed the whole stadium down!!! Grand Final Day they also looked spectacular in their sparkling outfits. To those other Dees who look half asleep i say take note of the best cheersquad!

Well i'm sorry but i think that a bunch of granies standing in line to get their medication are louder than those bunch.
I don't seat with the c/s on purpose because i know that their voices won't reach my part of the ground so i take over and i have been told that compare to that c/s i am something to be proud of for the club.
I just don't get why people would join a CHEER squad and NOT CHEER!!!!!

They need a good half hour with me i'll show them how to lose they voice every game no matter how well or badly the team does!

It may be a little difficult for me to comment because I do not sit in the red seat area. But they do make good banners but I agree they only cheer when we are winning. Also, they should sit behind the goals. I have heard some people say that we don't even have a cheersquad because they are not visable on the TV.

i mean, we have a great team of players, so the cheer squad SHOULD be just as good! (wouldn't you think???

I think you girls are all missing the point of having a cheer squad.
The only reason they were perpetuated was so that all people could cheer the great Wayne Carey as he performs his magical feats for you all.
So don't forget, when you play the Roos, Cheer long, Cheer loud, Cheer Wayne!!!
