I was watching Talking Footy last night and Caroline Wilson said that you should not rule Neale Daniher out of the Fremantle coaching job. Would we be that upset if he goes? Mind you I do doubt it, why would you want to go and coach a team with a record like it has. He has enough problems with this mob.

Just on Talking Footy, I think it is disgraceful that 15 rounds into the season, not one representative from the Melbourne Football Club has been on. I am not happy about that at all.

Exactly right! The media hates Melbourne and they love it when they get to report anything bad concerning us. There is hardly ever a story on the news or on a footy show that doesnt concentrate on the bad of the club rather than on the good.
In any case Neale won't go to freo, he might leave, and depending on the new coach we get, but i dont think he'll be very sadly missed although i like him and would like him to keep coaching!

Actually I am not that wrapped in ND as a coach........many reasons, but more a gut feeling with his lack of moves, motivation, persona, etc. etc. They may be silly reasons,but Ideally I would love someone like Kevin Sheedy coaching us, as he would draw everyone together at the club, he would promote the club Aust/. wide, make sure he had good coaching personnell (this is what made Sheeds successful IMO) install discipline at the club (which we lack), etc. etc.

What do you guys think???

Why don't the media like us??? Very simple.......because as a club we are too introverted...yes Dees 01, I know you like it when we don't make much noise as a club.......but we will never be successful unless we are prominent with our ideas, forthright, opiniated, etc....in other words a strong club that is not frightened to speak its mind!!

That's the reason we only get publicity re Board problems...because we are not a strong and leading club.!!

I tend to agree with you Ms Storm. We need someone like a Malthouse or Matthews at this club. A strong successful coach. If those people were available at the time, things may have been different. I don't have a problem with Neale, but I do sometimes get annoyed. Very few moves seem to be made and he hardly uses the phone. The selctions also worry me.
