I dunno how our forward line is set up, but i this is how we should set it up:

(The pictures won't work and for some reason the linkingthing wouldn't work)
That is a little hard to understand, but i'll explain it.
The dark spots are our players, the light spots are the opposition.
Red lines are players kicking, dark lines are players running.
Basically, the full forward would be in the forward square, and the half-forward would be in a regular CHF position.
The half forward flankers would be around about 20 metres infront of the CHF, ready to run of the CHF and take and a handpass when he marks, or running past to crumb if he drops the mark.
The forward pockets would be about 10-15 metres behind the CHF. About 30 metres infront of the Full Forward.
The CHF, or Forward Flanks would kick it to a leading FF, and the pockets would run past to pick up the crumbs.
Here is a list of the advantages of using this setup.

- There is lots of space in Forward Line, therefore it is easier for the Full Forward to lead.
- Because there is space down the middle, the forward pockets will know exactly where the Full Forward will lead, then they can time their run past him if he drops the mark
- If the Pockets are required to crumb, when they pick the ball up, they will be facing the goal, making it much easier to kick a goal. Instead of trying to turn around and kick, they just pick it up and kick (or run in even closer to goal and kick)
- If the back pockets manage to crumb the ball, they will have to try and turn around before clearing the ball. This will give our forward pocekts a better opporutnity to tackle them, before they clear the ball

The only thing another team can do to counter this set up is just throw in a loose man in the hole. But that argument can be used to counter any forward setup.
I don't know if the eagles set it up this way (because i haven't seen many of their games), but if they don't, i think they should do it this way.
Troy Wilson at Full Forward, Phil Matera and Merenda as the pockets.
Michael Gardiner at Half Forward, Kerr and Fletcher as the flankers.
Do you guys think that would be an effective setup for the eagles?
