Anyone going? 7pm, Casual Dress to farewell the Heatley & Harris stands.

Captains Club Members: Adult - $35, Junior - $20
Guest Passes: Adult - $50, Junior - $35

I missed my chance at the Bulldogs game (damn you Japanese project managers), so I think I'll go and pay my respects. Brett Ratten & Nick Stevens will be there as well as some recruits.

I shake my head that they charge anything at all for this type of historical event.
It depends what you get for it of course. It includes "dining on a complimentary football menu", which probably means pies and chips.

No complaints from me if the money helps build better facilities. I'm not looking for a bargain from the club. It's not like it's $135 like the season opening was.

Actually on reading the other side of the form, it only refers to "members", so that probably means any kind of membership, not just Social Club.

I thought it was Captain's Club only... Might head down, but I thought the Judd debut praccy match was a good farewell, then again I am happy to throw in some more cash if it helps build up our club!:thumbsu:

i've got all the memories i need in my head.

parking the car outside the cemetary. walking with the ol man and brothers along the tree lined streets to the ground. standing in the outer on the half forward line watchin all the old champs. listening to the roar from the Heatley and Harris when we piled on 10 in a quarter. getting dragged out by dad at the 22 min mark to beat the damn traffic. the drive back to the burbs.

good times.

It's a pity the suburban grounds have gone the way of the dodo for matches...I loved how you could smell the grass (not that godawful fert smell form the MCG on Thursday :(), hear the players calls and most of all the way the roar would whip around the stands s and make the hair on your neck stand.

I'm sure PP would be a perfect venue for the Melbourne match this round... and then we could play the Saints at the MCG instead of the Telstra basketball stadium!

The form says two different things. Best to check with the club: 1300 72 79 81

Amen, brother. That was my seat.

Yeah, i'm losing my old seat. Back row, top deck of the SC. Only had to walk a few metres for a pie and a coke, or a couple of extra metres for a beer. That is, when you could see your way through all of the cigarette smoke.
