At the end of the 2005 season, Fevola, Whitnall and Camporeale come out of contract.

It has been reported in the press that Fevola could demand around $500K a season, and I would suspect that Whitnall would seek around the same, depending on how his form holds throughout the year.

Not sure how much Campo is on, and wouldn't even hazard a guess at how much his new contract would be.

My question is that in August this year, Camporeale turns 30. Does this qualify him to be put on the veterans list next year, and thus alleviating some salary cap presure.

If Campo can play out the whole season with the poise and mental hardness that he displayed on Friday night then he too would be pushing 500k. If not then he would warrant about 250-300k. Too often Scott plays to his full potential for a few weeks only to drop back into his comfort zone. I dont believe even at full potential that he is worth anything above 500k in what will probably be his last 3 years.

Campo won't leave. He's turned down contracts from South Australia a few times now. His role at the momment is quite important. He's hard at the ball and can add a touch of class when needed.

Whitnall is increasing his value this season and if we want to trade him we'll have that option. His large contract will no longer be a problem for us. I have a feeling he desperately wants to stay though.

Fev is the only concern...

Campo is currently getting $600,000 but will probably be offered somewhere around $300,000 to $400,000 on his next contract. Hopefully closer to $300,000 than anything else. He'll also be on the veterans list so from the perspective of the salary cap he'll be earning around $150,000 to $200,000.

No way in hell will Whitnall be getting $500,000 in his next contract. He'll probably get around $350,000 at the most.

Fevola will recieve something like $400,000 a year.

If Fev has a great yr $400k will not be enough not when offer's in the order of $600 - $700 are flooding in.Red should drop his price if not trade him,Campo should sign for $400k.

I doubt very much whether Fev would be offered $600-700k by any team next year unless he has an extroadinary year and kicks 100 goals. Those figures are way off the mark for the type of player he is.

If Carlton let goes of FEV then we can forget about selling memberships next season. FEV is the future of the club and collo has to do everything in his power to keep him.

If Fev gets offerred $700,000 I'd tell him to go for it and ask for some serious compensation in return. If Ottens can get Richmond two first round picks imagine what a real forward can get.

Say if West Coast offer him that I'd be asking for Chad Flecther in trade, or Daniel Kerr (or even Dean Cox) and a first round draft pick. I'd take that trade.

Carlton have to do everything in its power to keep Fev.

Somehow I don't think he will ask for much, if Denis keeps the praise and stays close with him Fev he won't go. He knows how important he is to Carlton at this present time and like Lance, should be thanking the club for a chance and not asking for more.

Pagans signing was quick and efficient..hopefully these are the signs of carlton being serious 1st up on a players contract....the last few years under Elliot was a joke...dont need the Dave Allisons likes on TV eveytime pepping up his players salary, mind you it didnt help when he had about half the carlton team on his books and had us by the balls
