With big name coach Dennis Pagan disgruntled with the Kangaroos, Fremantle should swoop to gain his services. Chris Connolly has underachieved with the list he possesses. His game plan is boring and predictable, Saturday's win against hawthorn was a prime example of a coach who did not give his players a licence after half time to really bury a very average opposition. Flooding the backline is what you do when you are losing, not flogging opposition. Playing dominant forward Justin Longmuir as a loose man for the last quarter just shows how much creativity Connolly lacks. How Kangaroos, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Hawthorn, and Geelong are above us with their lists shows what a creative club coach can achieve.

Enjoy your fishing trip, you need some new tackle, or more likely you've been doing too many trips to Northbridge.

Maybe you're relations contain the family name Sheedy, dribble ....................

Your lot won all four quarters, consistently building up to a 10 goal win. THAT IS flogging the opposition!

Gee you must enjoy staying on the bottom of the ladder. Chris is trying to get some great success into Fremantle. I think that your namesake will not be at Fremantle next year, neither will you be either.

I think I will ignore this post and just asssume that you are joking......

One handed typing

Clive Clive Clive you must desist from typing one handed as it will make you go blind. You forgot to put the wan in front of your name. The only disappointment so far this season is that we have not been able to win away from home, but we are no orphans in that respect. We have travelled to all the AFL grounds to play this season and no other team has had to do that.Surely you can't place the away losses in total to The Nacho Man.I am as disappointed as any one that we will not participate in the finals this year but this is Connollys first year for goodness sake, give the guy a chance to get things up and running.

I think conolly has done a great job.
He like pagan and probally rocket makes some of the best tactical moves of all the coaches.
Put it this way tactically wise he is a better coach than woosha.

If this is what you say about Connolly I'd be interested to know what you say about Damian Drum.

Connolly has been great for us this year, 6 more wins than last year and a general improvement around the club from last year is testament to that.

You are not alone, dbhattarai.

Drum was outcoached on many occasions but his legacy was the 2000 draft where he chose to take youth over trading for more experienced campaigners which may have extended his AFL career.

Connolly is a smarter coach, has a far better and more versatile list and has tried a few things during the year. He certainly will take us to finals football, and perhaps to the very top echelon.

I liked Drummy he tried hard. But all he did was draft youngsters with plentiful picks in the top 10. Any team (except maybe Carlton) would've done the same.

By that definition blockerhall that makes Tony Shaw a footy genius as well.

Apologies for butting in, but what *is* this guy on about?
As a neutral supporter, i'd say categorically that Connolly could be the best thing which has ever happened to the Dockers. Not that that's saying much :)

In my defence, Funky Monk, the emphasis in my statement is on the fact that he viewed Fremantle in 2000 longer term than his contract by choosing to draft rather than trade, and thus left a positive legacy (and some shocking at the, I cannot forgive him for Metro at the end of 2000).

I did not imply he was some sort of genius.

Sorry dude. I was being a bit cheeky.

....as was demonstrated by his treatment of Trent Carroll. Not.

Am I assuming that you think Trent Carroll was ignored by Mr Drum?.

In his last year in the Dockers squad, Trent was consigned back to Claremont to gain some form. In the two games I watched him in, he was struggling badly and the question was asked by some Claremont officials, can he be dropped to the Reserves?.

Mr Drum may have ignored some footy talent. eg. Clement and Callaghan, but Trent was along way back with a reason to complain.

Anyway for the record, how do you see Trent being ignored?.
