I have a friend who works at Richmond as a Fitness Staff member (Won't indicate the exact position to protect his identity) but he told me the following: On their internal system (Richmond) they have the video of Mark Neeld's first press conference where he described us as the hardest team to play against.
Their internal footy department which includes Richmond's fitness and conditioning staff look at this video as a joke, Seriously.
Neeld is looked at as a joke. I' support Neeld, I don't want to start a flame war because as an optimist I also believe we will improve, I just want to pass onto our fellow supporters that my source is extremely close to the Richmond and formerly the Western Bulldogs and he says that those clubs don't rate us. I heard this two weeks ago & feel only to bring it up after a disappointing loss today (Yes I wouldn't have brought it up if we had won).
I hope I'm not overreacting, but I assure you my source worked for the bulldogs and now works for Richmond (DM me if you know him and I'll confirm). Look it up if you don't believe me. Just disappointed at another potentially disappointing year if other clubs view Neeld as a joke & it comes to fruition.

It disappoints me, I know we had our spine out & Trengove, Blease & Viney but my mate who 100% is giving me accurate information (he knew about the Essendon 'drugs' situation before it happened because Sam lonergan told him, trust me I know what he is talking about Fletcher & Watson & one other senior player didn't take any of the banned supplements just wait and see). (Again I'm a supporter and just want to let you know what I know), I'm just explaining with 100% authority that Richmond have a clip of Mark Neeld saying we'll be the hardest team to play against, it's a video joke on their video archives, I know this because my friend works at Richmond in conditioning, it worries me after this weekend's result that Neeld has no idea what he is doing, I HOPE I'm wrong. Who cares???? Neeld did say we WILL be the hardest team to play against. We are far from that at the moment. If your little friends at RFC find this amusing let them have their little bit of fun. I suggest they'd be better off devoting all of their resources towards making their 3rd finals series in thirty-something years.

What, because two cellar dwelling clubs don't rate us? Relax mate, Richmond has lost to the Gold Coast Twice - the Bulldogs were the most uncompetitive team in the league post round 11 last year.

Besides, that's just footy culture - having a laugh at your opposition, I know everyone says "our club is professional, blah, blah"... but it's really only to the cameras.

No doubt in the team club rooms you get the same dick jokes, fart jokes, jokes about the women they've plowed, etc, etc.

Footy clubs will never be truly professional.

This is what frustrates me. i could not care less what richmond or any other ****ta clubs thinks about us. i know that our best 22 will well and truly stand up and deliver against sides we are not expected to win against.
I have so much fire in my belly to unleash on opposition sides when melbourne start beating sides when we are not meant to..starting with stkilda,richmond,footscray and maybe 1 or 2 others this year.
