You know. Independence. Being able to go somewhere that is across city. Being able to go on a day trip to the beach. Being able to go out for drinks and not be hamstrung by a timetable. Being able to drive yourself to footy, cricket or any other sport. Not to mention how emasculating it is to tell a girl you can't pick her up or drive her home because you can't drive and don't have a license.
So what, getting full of piss at the pub is fine if you have your license? Because, uh, yeah, you can drive when you're intoxicated. Surely being hamstrung by a timetable is no worse than knowing another pint means an inability to drive?

Secondly, how absolutely archaic. How can you honestly believe every single female conforms to this notion that a car is a sign of masculinity? Do you know how utterly outdated, wide-sweeping, and incorrect that whole notion is? The "kind" of girls I like are ones open minded enough to realise that driving a car doesn't make you more of a man.

Who do you think you are? Your outdated views on gender are absolutely baffling. I'm not someone overtly sensitive, but your comment is the kind of "blokeyness" I hate.

If a lady wants to travel in a car, she should have her own means of doing so; eg. drive her own or use a reputable taxi service.

Yea see how that date goes. "Yea I will go out with you. I am assuming you can pick me up, drop me off yea?" You will never see her again when you are 21+++ years old.

Settle it down. This conversation had nothing to do with you.

Can I get a lock, mods? This is just appalling and repetitive.

Despite having no intention of driving a car, one of the motivating factors I had for getting a licence was the compulsory supervised driving required to obtain the licence. I did not have a car for personal usage and was moving away from where I knowingly had access to a car. I took several driving lessons, passed the test and completed the required 25 hours driving experience in my Dad's car, with his supervision.

Noted.

That went well.
