Just finished speaking to a business aquaintance who has lots of rellies down in the Apple Isle. He's spoken to them (very slowly) and has been assured that they will forgo their allegiances to the Prichard and Hudson clans and look after the Dockers whilst they are in Tassie (the mafia aint got nothing on these clans). He has had to warn them that the Dockers and the happy lads from Hawkland might not appreciate some of the local customs, especially stealing goal posts in the middle of a game.

They are pretty smart in Tassie, they've had human cloning for the past 150 years. They are wondering what John Boy Howard is on about.

How do you think we'll go, now that I'm assured the goal posts won't disappear and the cows will be cleared off the ground at least 48 hours before the game. We don't want the AFL having to deal with the case of " opponent slams face into cowpat" or "crowd pelts Crawford with manure".

Will the Wiz go wild, Medhurst meet some lookalikes, Crawford to practice his acting, Hay to play, Rehn's knee to hold up, and Brown to gain many families of supporters by rubbing any one with tipped hair into the mud.

The Hawks have been ordinary, but then the Dockers have been asleep for the start of their games this season. All I know is that the Hawks will be not taking the Dockers lightly after last years display at Colonial.

If all the rellies do what they have been asked, I'll tip the Dockers by 7 points due to Justin Longmuir kicking straight after being reunited with the eastern clan of farming Longmuirs.

Should be an interesting game given the venue. Unfortunately, I don't think the cowpat in crawfs face will effect him much, he is well accustomed to mud facepacks.

Gotta love Tassie though, any place with Boag on tap is a winner in my books.

I always find tassie to be a little like a very rare steak- very wet, okay once you get your teeth into it, but not for the squeamish.:)
