I fail to understand how you can be too tall for a key position. You can be not agile enough, but this is not the case with Ryder.

Another solid game from Ryder, he proved he can play in the ruck this week as well. Had the best percentage of hitouts to advantage on the ground by a mile at 50 % from 10 hitouts with limited gametime rucking compared to Laycock and the 2 Collingwood rucks who were at about 20-25%.

It would be great to finally have a damaging ruckman.

Not only that, he is also dangerous at ground level.

He could be dangerous against opposition ruckmen who dont get a great deal of taps.

He could also be a useful in a run with role against a ruckman who likes to float forward.

All this potential and he is only 19.

I reckon by 22 - 24, he could be the premier ruckman in the league. So much better than Josh Fraser could even imagine he could be.

Yes im sorry, ryder looks like he will be a superstar, and what i said was nainly because he didnt look intrested in playing but as you say confidence is a big thing. he has speed. height and agility ohh and great skills should make it as long as he doesnt lose confidence.

spoke with sheeds the other day, he said over the next 10 years ryder will be a superstar. i tend to agree, he is looking very promising
