Hi guys,

Over the past month of two I've gotten right back into photography are a decent layoff.

Anyway, i go to every game (except interstate) and have only just started taking my camera again.

Here are the results. Hope you like....

SJ,

Anywhere between 4-8 photos stiched together.

I will most certainly have my camera with me this weekend. Hopefully a huge crowd rocks up so the picture has more interest than the StKilda game.

This is a pan I took @ the end of last year's GF. ....plus some doctoring.

The only GF memorabilia that I have. Pretty special to me actually. The fact only me and my day have it. ....Dad and I were there together, 20 years after he took me to the losing GF in 89. Not sure what I was happier with, the win or the cheesy grin on Dad's face!:D

The hoff

Will do. I'm at work at the moment and the images are on my home PC. I'll flick you a copy tonight.

Noclashjumpers.

That is awesome. I absolutely love it. I did not take my camera to the game for the last 3 grand finals so i made sure i enjoy the game and we're not viewing certain aspects through a view finder, however if we're lucky enough to make it this year, you've just inspired me to take it this year or in the future.

That is brilliant.

Hi Guys - I hope you don't mind the intrusion but I wanted to ask what lens size you are using?
I was under the impression the AFL or ground staff don't like people taking in too large a lens.
Is that correct?

Hey,

I've never had an issue with taking my camera into any grounds.

I usually take my 10-20 Sigma lense for wide shots and my 18-250mm Pentax lens.

I have however had issue taking my DSLR camera into other events, particulary in the US where they deem that as a professional camera.

Thanks mate, I think they don't like 300mm and above

Do you have a bigger size of that image noclashjumpers, because that is awesome.

I dont like your chance of getting a HI RES picture of this unless you pay him. As he said, its precious to him becuase he took it and only two people in the whole world have it.

If he is willing to give a HIRES picture though, i'd love to see it :D

Cheers mate! I only remembered I had the camera a couple of minutes after the siren went. Whipped it out, spent a minute or so taking the pics, shoved it back it the bag and then promptly forgot about for about a month!

We couldn't get to the 07 & 08 GFs, and although I went to the losing 92, 94, 95 GFs, the 2009 GF was the first one we'd been together since 89.

Quite happy with this one as well! :p;)

thehoff is unfortunately right.:o I do feel a bit selfish for saying no. But yeah, the fact that Dad and I only have it, kinda makes it a bit special. Sort of a personal memento of a public occasion. Sorry.

....not for sale either.:p

I've been wondering the same.

The MCG Conditions of Entry on the Mar 13, 2009 states:

'Cameras
Small digital/still cameras are permitted into the stadium, provided they don’t require a tripod and the use of the camera does not obstruct the view of other patrons around you. Audio recording equipment and video cameras are not permitted into the stadium.

Photos are not to be used for commercial purposes.'

http://www.mcc.org.au/News/Latest%20News/2009/March/Cond%20of%20entry.aspx

So it seems that it's ok to use.

But they have updated the Conditions of Entry since then. Now it reads differently.

Up to date Conditions of Entry

It doesn't say anything about cameras.

I always thought it was anything uner 200mm.....but I can't find anything about that anywhere! The 200mm thing is from the Tennis, but not the AFL. I have taken my SLR in loads of time and only been asked if it can record video. No-one cares about lens length....however I think if you wnet in with a 400mm F2.8 they might ask some questions!

Hey all,

Took another Pano at the Geelong V Hawthorn game. This picture is taken just after the final siren when Buddy sprayed his kick out on the full....

Hope you like.
