The latest figures for expenditure by Parliamentarians for the period 1 July to 31 December 2105 has just been released and makes very interesting reading.

Total amount for all expenditure: $55,663,106.46
Seems that they like their office fit outs total expenditure for this item - $16,269,754.37
Some of the expenditure for certain politicians makes very interesting reading. For example, Rick Wilson, MP for WA, spent $90K on office facilities and $66K on printing and communications (does not include telecommunications). Who is he and what does he do?
There are others that don't hold a ministerial or committee position and their expenditure seems quite high.
Overseas travel $4M which seems low but then again unlikely to include trips paid by 'sponsors'.
Worth a look.
