To your average Australian who isn't willing to download the show, yes, it's finished. Seven stopped airing the show a few years ago, the stuff they show in the middle of the night now is just repeats from around 2001-2002.
In the US, the show recently moved from NBC to DirecTV (a pay tv satellite company) channel The 101. There was an "NBC finale" show, which may account for scotty13's comments.
