Dangerfield is quick, yet I've made that comparison in the past. :D

Both are good contested marks, long kicks and hard at the ball.

Robinson needs to improve his endurance and his decision making, but has some x factor with the way he plays.

Will be an impact player as a utility.

Should be picked for this round ahead of Carrazzo who is just a tagger.

Mitch needs to get more of the footy.

He kills the stats in the VFL.

With Lucas and Buckley coming into our team, both good skills and outside types. It would almost be worth swapping Gibbs for Danger, who is very hard at it.

Gibbs is playing like a soft co*k atm.

Surely we could work a Gibbs for Danger + 2nd rounder. They would love to have a home grown no1 pick on their list. Both clubs would like to save themselves the headaches of the player juicing up their contract with threats of going home every time their contracts are up.

Mitch gets more possessions, tackles and marks per game than Dangerfield. :thumbsu:

That's his job in the VFL, he's given different roles in AFL, plays up forward a lot and his work off the ball helping team mates who are designated ball winners is excellent.

We're not going to swap a guy who is already one of the best players in the team for an impact player. A form slump that could be back injury related does not make him a soft ****, how about a bit of credit for trying to push through it. If it's bad enough to effect his form the club should be resting him. He's stated how much he loves Carlton and wants to play his whole career there, quit making stuff up about threats to go home.

Everyone is always afraid of Gibbs going home around here.

you are always making excuses for players poor form saying that they are injuried. We shouldn't be playing guys if they aren't going to perform because of injury.

Dangerfields play may suit our team more than Gibbs, as he doesn't mind body contact where gibbs appears to be very against it. We were monstered at the clearances by Sydney and needed someone of Dangers ilk to go inside and knock some bodies around.

Any player on our list should be traded if we can win the deal.

A few nervous Nellies crap on about it and panic every time the HUN write another troll. Of course you would believe them. BIB and ericpascoe both posted plenty of times that he was staying and it was just managers finalising things and hey, look what happened!

you are always making excuses for players poor form saying that they are injuried.

You are always shooting your trap off about players you have no idea or insight on, when credible posters with sources inside the club say he's carrying a back injury I tend to believe them over someone who just likes to slag players off.

We need quality disposal into the forward line, this is something Gibbs specializes in when played in the middle whereas Dangerfield is one of the worst kicks going around. Gibbs can also hold his marks and put four quarters together. We already have impact players in Robinson, Betts, Garlett and Yarran all of whom bring plenty to the team that Dangerfield doesn't. We usually smash team at the clearances, the Swans killed us no doubt but a short burst from Dangerfield wouldn't fix that, we need McLean back to play his role doing the grunt work the entire game.

Any player on our list should be traded if we can win the deal.

Firstly, trading a guy who could be the best player in the team for an impact player is not a win, not even close. Secondly, if we have that attitude then why shouldn't the players have the attitude of "any player on the list should walk out if he can get a better offer. Loyalty is a part of club culture that is vital to success.

Loyalty is dying.

I didn't suggest a striaght swap, but Gibbs for danger and a pick around the 20s would be fair IMO.

We wouldn't need to have perfect delivery into the forward line if we won a few more clearances up the ground.

We need more hardness at the contest and less soft play waiting for cheap kicks arcoss half back.

Loyalty is dying.

Gibbs and others re-signing with the Blues and stating how much they love the club says you're talking out your arse again. If loyalty is dying around the league let the other clubs suffer, if Carlton have the most loyal players it can only be a good thing. It would be nice if they had a few more loyal supporters.

So again losing a guy who could be the best player in the team for an impact player with poor skills and a speculative pick in a weakened draft. That's us getting slaughtered in a deal.

We wouldn't need to have perfect delivery into the forward line if we won a few more clearances up the ground.

We beat Sydney for inside 50s champ, open your eyes. Delivery into the 50 has been a problem since round two. We led the league in clearances before last week.

We need more hardness at the contest and less soft play waiting for cheap kicks arcoss half back.

Actually we need to consistently be effective at both all game every game, which as a team, not just Gibbs, we haven't been lately. Losing Gibbs would only make us weaker.

Hmm the reality of the situation is, we wouldnt accept Gibbs for Dangerfield.. and you guys wouldnt accept Dangerfield for Gibbs

The only way it will happen is if Dangerfield becomes unhappy at being in Adelaide.. and with a bright future ahead plus being labelled a future captain, i dont see that happening until atleast the final years of his career.

It wouldn't come down to what the personnel on bigfooty.com thought of the matter.

If both boys wanted to go home, I think the clubs would do the deal.

Sin you are really underating danger.

You are bringing out rubbish stats to support your arguments.

You say gibbs is an elite kick?? how come he is hovering around 50% eff recently....... Let me guess... he has done his ACL but is playing through it.

His attitude sinks atm, it needs to change for us to go forward. It doesn't matter how hard Army, Jamo, etc try if our elite talent aren't fully committeed we will go nowhere.

Stats that you wish were rubbish. You say Robinson needs to get the ball more, but he gets more possessions, marks and tackles than Dangerfield. You say we need to win more clearances, yet we're 3rd in the league, we were 1st before last week. You say there's no problem with the delivery into the forward line, yet we had more inside 50s than Sydney last week and it's evident in nearly all our losses this year.

Stop talking shit. Yes the last two weeks his kicking has been terrible, but his entire career before that he's been considered an elite kick. Is there an injury making it hard for him? Well when someone with sources inside the club say he's carrying a back injury at least it gives some sort of explanation as to why his skills have deserted him over the last fortnight. It certainly offers more than your knee-jerk reactions do.

Unless you know him personally then you know nothing of his attitude. He's recently decided to stay at Carlton instead of chasing dollars at GC or go home to Adelaide and stated he wants to play out his career at Carlton. He is said by people with sources inside the club that he's pushing through a back injury to play. Now you play the game Kruzering, when one of your team mates risks further injury to take the park for your team do you roast him for having a stinking attitude if it inhibits him a bit? I doubt it very much.

Yes!

Mitch sends his under appreciated regards?

That's nice.

Don't really see the connection? Where in the rule book does it say you can only have type said player?
