I was looking through the Herald Sun today and they had an article concerning Corey Enright, with a list of Geelong's picks from that 1999 draft which signalled the beginning of the 're-building' phase.
It's interesting to see the transformation of Paul Chapman. How good is this guy? I reckon he's one of the most important players in our side, and if he is playing well, Geelong is usually playing well.
I can still remember his breakthrough game in the AFL side, a game against the Bulldogs in 2002. Prior to that, he had been in and out of the side and in this game he dominated, and he has never looked back.
No doubt in my mind that he is in the Top 5 small forwards in the AFL, and he could very well be the best. The pressure he applies, his leadership etc all add together into one helluva player.
