i would just like to know what west coast would like in return for Paul Johnson

i went to school with this guy and i would love him at the blues

to be honest he wouldnt demand much on the open market, and nor should he. i think he will be a good player for the club, i get the feeling he is going to get traded. but if a trade isnt found i have no doubt we will keep him.

he would be used as a sweetener or as a package to get a draft pick possibly in late teens early 20's.

Was surprised that he slipped down to no24 in the 2002 draft. At the time i thought it was a top get by the eagles. I thought a guy that was drafted at over 100kg would have played more than 1 game.

You're kidding me. You told me you rated Stenglein as barely a 2nd rounder, yet a player who has not cracked a game, has not done ANYTHING in the WAFL, has injury problems and is talked about poorly by your own supporters, you think is worth a late 1st round/early 2nd round.

They want a first round pick and thats why you wont be seeing him at Carlton.

Would love to see him given a chance at hawthorn, but does he have a chance of cracking it into the west coast team with the further development of your big forwards (McDougall etc) plus the return of Gardiner next year.

Also as there is speculation of Hay or Williams returning to the West, would their be possibility of a trade, surely not a direct swap, as Johnson has not played any games, and although is reported to be a big unit, does not use his body to the best that he could/

Dude I think the reason he has only played 1 game is because he broke his leg late last year plus he has had a lot of injuries this year. He started well in the wizard cup but just keeps getting injured. But I hope we hang on to him coz he seems like a waste to draft him then throw it away after just 2 years.
