A number of people here are missing the point. I never said that Paul Roos was wrong in his overall assessment my point was that his logic is flawed and not based on fact. I will repeat my argument because most who say “I agree with Roos” haven’t addressed it.

Do you agree that Sandilands foot is a major issue for us? I am not suggesting that he couldn’t reinjure it but is really a major concern.

Mundy’s preseason, besides the last few weeks has been solid according to all reports, you could probably say the same about 1/4 of all player?

Paul and Des didn’t play massive roles last year so I really don’t think it is valid to argue that they are significant loses.

Frodo has already played has first preseason match three weeks away from round one, would you really include him in the debate?

We have a very large percentage of 2nd and 3rd year players, which you think Roos would have acknowledged, and maybe suggested there is room for improvement there.

Lastly, he does make some valid points about Tarrant and Barlow which I do agree with.

Once again I am disappointed with Roos largely baseless argument considering I regard/ed him as someone with an educated opinion and worth listening to. Honestly I don’t care if he doesn’t rate us or thinks we will stagnate, but if is going to do it then to avoid becoming another useless hack he should use fact not fiction.

What is the "largely baseless argument" you are talking about ?

Roos said the dogs have gone backwards due to the loss of experience. Wow. Akermanis, who didn't have a single good game. Eagleton who was okay, but not the biggest loss. Johnson had a few good halves but was more of a hinderance than help. We have recruited well and have a couple of ready made gun draft picks. Roos is deluded.

As for Freo - They should be looking to finish about 5-6th in my opinion. The improvement in Fyfe and Hill should offset the loss of Barlow. Having watched him in the VFL, Faulks will do quite well and is a decent replacement for Tarrant. Mzungu is ready made and should come straight in. Anthony will make a decent 50 goal full forward - something you guys have been missing. Mayne might improve a little due to getting a lesser defender. I can't see why Freo would go backwards.

But it's probably just all up to Pavlich like always.
