A number of people here are missing the point. I never said that Paul Roos was wrong in his overall assessment my point was that his logic is flawed and not based on fact. I will repeat my argument because most who say “I agree with Roos” haven’t addressed it.
Do you agree that Sandilands foot is a major issue for us? I am not suggesting that he couldn’t reinjure it but is really a major concern.
Mundy’s preseason, besides the last few weeks has been solid according to all reports, you could probably say the same about 1/4 of all player?
Paul and Des didn’t play massive roles last year so I really don’t think it is valid to argue that they are significant loses.
Frodo has already played has first preseason match three weeks away from round one, would you really include him in the debate?
We have a very large percentage of 2nd and 3rd year players, which you think Roos would have acknowledged, and maybe suggested there is room for improvement there.
Lastly, he does make some valid points about Tarrant and Barlow which I do agree with.
Once again I am disappointed with Roos largely baseless argument considering I regard/ed him as someone with an educated opinion and worth listening to. Honestly I don’t care if he doesn’t rate us or thinks we will stagnate, but if is going to do it then to avoid becoming another useless hack he should use fact not fiction.
What is the "largely baseless argument" you are talking about ?
