If you buy a mac, you can run OS X and Windows via bootcamp.
Pretty sure OP specifically mentioned games, which pretty much rules Mac out.
Unless you want to try running games from Parallels or some other dual boot environment... LOL, Best of Luck with running games which are even slightly resource hungry... (and we all know there are none of those around amirite?)
Don't get me wrong, you're quite correct - Macs do indeed have their uses, and within their niche they're an excellent platform. But gaming is not part of that niche.
