If you buy a mac, you can run OS X and Windows via bootcamp.

Pretty sure OP specifically mentioned games, which pretty much rules Mac out.

Unless you want to try running games from Parallels or some other dual boot environment... LOL, Best of Luck with running games which are even slightly resource hungry... (and we all know there are none of those around amirite?)

Don't get me wrong, you're quite correct - Macs do indeed have their uses, and within their niche they're an excellent platform. But gaming is not part of that niche.

Not too worry, not too phased about the mac / pc issue was just wondering basically which one was better!

It's really horses for courses. If you a happy to spend $2000, both platforms will kick ass.

In the past I would have had you lean toward OS X but nowadays with W7 being incredibly stable (mine is anyway) it's made more difficult.

Also pricing use to be an issue but I think the Apples have come down somewhat but still quite pricey pound for pound against a similar PC.

Apples in the past were the prefered choice for graphics but again, these days they have evened up quite a bit. I have had to install software in quite a few graphic Design houses and large Architectural firms and am seeing a lot more PC's running W7; they state the differences are negligable theses days (this is what they tell me anyways).

Apples don't get many virus!! but do get Malware as does PC and Malware is a type of Virus so see exclamation marks. Also the installation process for most apps on a mac is drop and drag (I love that) whereas Windows can be tedious at time.

I MUCH prefer the way W7 handles it's windows and the new explorer window with libraries and favourites is highly customisable. I personally hate the way OS X has windows all over the place without the ability to snap them or rearrange them as quick as 7.

Also finally and I can say this because I work in this industry, Apples SUCK when it comes to all things Printers.....simply suck

No. You run games via bootcamp with is a native Windows environment, not a virtual environment. Rebooting isn't much of a pain.
