Sometimes I feel like it's acceptable when you've had a bonding experience. Of course this doesn't mean you've just returned from a couple's retreat in the Macedon Ranges, but even things like having a nice dinner together, seeing a good concert, or anything that really elevates your endorphins means you're more inclined to hold hands or walk with your arm around them. I don't ever really do it for the whole walk home but naturally, when we experience things as a group, it's a nice feeling – it's a human tick – and it's no different to cuddling your mates when your footy club wins.

I'm fine to kiss goodbye or whatever but not a full on mack. Most of your instincts tend to dissipate after high school when your sperm count goes down and you start withering away as you get closer to becoming one of those pathetic men whose wives yell at them in shops.

Pretty happy to duck down alleys or go OTT on a tram when you've just pulled though. Pretty good feeling being full of piss, glowing with success, and not giving two shits about looking gross because at least you're not going home for a pot noodle and a wank.

A night full of drinks changes it completely – I mean, plenty of people feel sheepish trying their tricks on with their friends around. Yet when it's 3am, most people'll go for it with a chick in front of their mates.

Funniest thing I've read all day. Cuddling your mates sounds weird to, surely you mean hug?
Yeah funny because it's true. Still amazes me how many grown men are genuinely emasculated by some overbearing, crazy, insecure woman who basically validates herself via her husband's obedience.

And yeah I guess hug but this is Australia: cuddle is widely encompassing.

No problem holding hands, arm in arm, hugging/cuddling/snuggling and occasional gentle pecks on the cheek, forehead or lips.

Lengthy embraces or groping or tongue best saved for behind closed doors.
