I had a horrible feeling about this last night where I thought what if the Luke Power standoff was such an issue for GWS because they had already signed one of our players and I then tied it to the Hanley not signing thing.
I will be absolutely sickened if this is true.
Gubby was the one who brought Hanley out from Ireland, and let's be honest, he is out here to make a career and then shoot off home.
Ugh god.

Wow we cant expect to go forward if Players keep leaving. If its to GWS I would be demanding Band 1 compo. anything less than band 2 is a rip off.

If he is off to GWS, then this is just ridiculous. How can the AFL expect to keep two teams in Queensland, when they give one an exorbitant amount of concessions, yet lets the other become a feeder club to the new teams.

It will not only be because of money. When you continually see members of your best 22 all jumping ship it doesn't give you a lot confidence in the team going forward.
Richmond and North are hopeless but they prepared for the expansions teams and will get through it really strongly while the Lions are anchored to the bottom 4.

"The Giants have netted Melbourne's Tom Scully, Bulldog Callan Ward, Fremantle's Rhys Palmer and Adelaide's Phil Davis in the past few weeks but that is likely to be their only batch for this season according to GWS list manager Stephen Silvagni."
I hope that this is correct and the story about Hanley is false.
