ha ha ha i doubt it. so far this season we have played one shocker followed by a decent game the following week, guess what this week is.

we are still missing everitt, gehrig, hamill, black, kossi, burke, moyle .... but for the first time this year we were able to omitt 2 players from the side due to form rather than injury and replace them with loewe and jones. the injury curse may finally be lifting.

harvey is the most respected player at the club by young and old alike and will inspire his team mates to victory. i have taken the $4.85 on the saints and i very rarely back them. (only a golden back though i'm not completely insane )

be gentle on spud after the final siren, he is still a st kilda great and should be treated with respect. i shudder to think how the feral element of your supporter base (98.5%) will react to a loss to the saints but will watch and laugh with interest.

in a strange way im more nervous about this game than the last 2.you were smashed by the bombers last week however your not on ya pat malone there.
you were very unlucky not to win against the swans you deserved the 4 pts and you pushed the demons right to the line.

i believe we will win and with due respect we should however if we take that attitude into the game then we may find ourselves in trouble.

congrats to robert harvey on his 250th. a worthy champion and brownlow medalist. and a very loyal saint. how many times would he have had a carrot waved in his face by the likes of carlton etc and stayed with the saints.

My opinion is that if both sides come our and play close to their best football, Richmond will win comfortably. This is because (a) we haven't been as hard hit with injuries as St. Kilda and (b) have better depth to cover those that we have received.

This is not to disrespect St. Kilda. If they had a full list to choose from, they would certainly be a team capable of challenging for a position in the final 8. Lose half of your best starting 22 and you will always struggle. Just look at Carlton as proof of this.

However, as I noted in another thread, Richmond cannot afford to be complacent, otherwise we certainly will get get knocked off.

I personally don't think this will happen. We haven't been travelling that well over the past month or so and are nowhere near a comfort zone that would otherwise lull us into a false sense of security.

congrats mate you guys wanted the ball more than we did.
you showed us thats despite all your injuries you never give up considering the belting you guys got last week.
unlike other supporters from clubs who lose they blame the umpires.
not this time like i said the saints desire to stick with their game plan of accountabilty won out in the end.
