Interested to know how many people get a performance bonus from their work and what % it is to your yearly income ?
No need to detail the exact dollars just the % range.
Mine can vary from nil to 10% but is generally around 6 to 8%.

We get between 3% - 5% per year. Not much really.

3% for average and 5% if you get a good appraisel.

I think that is more of a pay rise than a performance bonus.
A performance bonus is more about financial targets being met or in some industries individual or group productivity targets being met. If that occurs, the individual or group get some type of financial bonus over and above their salary and any wage rise.

Interesting how you define "performance bonus". Presume you mean additional bonus on top of usual regular income.

In my field, often the bonus is 100% ie work done on spec and if it gets up you get paid, and if doesn't, you don't. :(

Dry Rot, that is how I define a performance bonus. The company I work for has a farily complicated way of measuring them but at times it can be a pleasant surprise. The thing is that you cant bank on it happening though

Performance Bonus? What's that?!

I am still waiting for a payrise that was supposed to be processed in October last year. I've been in my role 15 months now without a payrise or promotion and the worst bit is that the graduates that have just started are on a salary which is 3,000 odd bucks than mine!

Boy oh boy, at least at Maccas I got a payrise everytime I had a birthday!

The thing that irks me about bonuses is the automatic assumption by some people that they deserve them.

So often they are just a bonus for showing up sober and not hitting anyone during office hours.

You should get 52 free drunks and one hitting per year. Optionally, you can trade in your hitting for pulling someones underwear up over their head twice. Go over those limits - no bonus.
