From the Perth Glory Webpage
"An injury to last season’s MGP winner, Scott Miller, was the only down side as NSL Champions Perth Glory beat State League title holders Perth SC 2-5.
Miller suffered a knock on the ankle but should be fit to face the Melbourne Knights in Glory’s NSL opener on Sunday at Arena Joondalup.
Miller had opened the scoring against one of his former clubs with a cracking drive. His goal was bettered within minutes by Tom Pondeljak, who finished off a sweeping move which featured a neat one-two involving Nick Mrdja.
Damian Mori beat the Perth SC offside trap to make 3-0 but Marc Pottier pulled one back for the State League side before the break.
Late goals by subs Anthony Danze and Bobby Despotovski threatened to make the scoreline lopsided but Todd Howarth’s impressive free kick restored some pride for the home side."
Great to see Slobadon getting on the score sheet.
