FREMANTLE OF COURSE!
OK Perthies,
From previous experience, where dya reckon the best place is to go for leavers and would Lancelin be to quiet? We still havent decided where, but any tips would help :)

don't be fooled :D no place in WA is quiet during leavers. I could tell you a few stories about some mischief my friends got up to up there ;) the number of cops there will verify this fact!

for entertainment factorage you can't go past Rooto...I mean...Rotto.

I went to Dunsborough for ours and it was seriously one of the best weeks of my life. Right on the beach, just fabulously relaxing, but people I know that have camped at Busselton have had a great time. Prevally Park is usually pretty popular too, a bit quieter than Dunsborough...and how could anyone forget mandurah!

Dont go to Lancelin, unless your going in a big group. Go to Dunsborough. It rocks down there, especially new years.. woohoo.

Rotto for leavers is second to none!!!
Just make sure you get there on the first week on leavers.
I had mine in 2000 and we got there on the thursday for the first weekend and it was absolutly huge!!
Best weekend I've ever had.
Plenty of dodgy shenanigans had by all.
I'll prolly go back for a break after uni finishes this year.

Im just going down to our family's holiday place down south near Dunsborough with some friends. Can't wait to finally not have to worry about school work. :p ;)

Ok, leavers was only a few months ago, so I'll try and remember everything.

Dunsborough - wouldn't bother. Had mates who went down their last year and said that it wasn't great due to the number of cops. Still if you don't get to Rotto, you can try if you like.

Rotto - on the day that the lines open for bookings, make sure you have at least 5 mobiles ringing up to try and get a spot. :D

Mandurah - allright, or so I've heard.

The rest of the places I haven't heard enough about so can't really comment.

Dunsborough was very quiet last year due to the stepped up police presence... and will probably be the same again this year.

My vote would be Rotto.

I went to Mandurah in 2000, it was pretty quiet but loads of fun.

hey freo docker, what uni do u go to now?

We ended up in Mandurah because a couple of mates had stuff going on... which was pretty quiet, but then you make your own fun :) It was what we (ie they) needed anyway...

Dunsborough is great, but best if youve got a house or whatever to stay in... heaps of police around the villas and parks... Though anywhere south is pretty good, my brother & half his year group went to Margaret River last, had an awesome time, but only saw 2 cops the entire week and a half.

Dunno about Lancelin... friends had a great time there, but that was a few years back now... :p

This post is about 4 months late, but I go to curtin :)

Anyway, the reason I looked up this thread was coz we managed to get a booking for Rotto from the 26th which is still in the first week of leavers but the 2nd half of the first week. Like they let you book in lots of 3 nights and we got the 2nd lot of 3 nights.

Will it still be good then or will it have quieten down a little?

Well thats some fine work there.

If that's an attempt at humour, using rape as your subject matter, you really should seek some help, that's not on for mine - bad, bad form.

Leave Sabre alone. Poor form GoEagles.

Anyway, can someone in the know please answer my previous question about Rotto?

Cheers

Well with rotto, I went over for leavers in 2000 and stayed the full week. Got over there on Wednesday (the day exams finished) and it was huge every night until about sunday. Most of the first wave of people went home on monday, after that it wasn't packed at all. So we spent the first few days partying / drinking hard then chilling back after sunday for street cricket and BBQ's.

Last year was pretty much the same in terms of the amount of people. Over the first few days and the weekend it's huge, but after that (monday) it's pretty quiet.

How did you manage that?

Friends from school

there may be 10 chicks, but 5 of them could only EVER be friends, no more, and another is my ex(but that doesn't stop me having i chance, i have seen what she is like when drunk:P)

Nah, we are all good friends, should be a great 10 days:D
