Featuring the biggest advances in the series for over a decade, PES 2018 is set to launch on 14th September on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. No part of the game has been left untouched.

The high quality gameplay PES is known for has been finely tuned, with the addition of contextual shielding to protect the ball and Real Touch+ adding a new dimension to ball control.

Complimenting the fluid gameplay, set pieces have been reworked, including a new free-kick and penalty system. There’s also the option to start a match with the new one player kick-off.

Additionally, the game has been refined to reflect a more realistic pace.

Random Selection Match and Online Co-Op offer up two new modes where you can experience PES 2018’s stunning gameplay. The former sees the return of a classic fan favourite, with the latter’s inclusion bringing with it the ability to play 2v2 and 3v3 (supporting local guest play).

Elsewhere, PES League integration and the addictive Master League mode has been improved, featuring pre-season tournaments, an improved transfer system and pre-match interviews and locker room scenes!

A new user interface and greatly improved visuals bring all above the above together, recreating the authenticity of football, all the way down to the little details. Thanks to Real Capture, PES 2018 will include true-to-life stadium lighting, pitch turfs and player tunnels that were recreated from more than 20,000 intricate elements of genuine data that was collected at the Camp Nou and Signal Iduna Park.

Players have also been motion captured in equally realistic environments, allowing for a complete rework of the animation system, starting with core movement such as walking, turning and body posture. Finally, player models have been completely changed, with special attention paid to kit fitting and short size.

That’s PES 2018, where legends are made.

That’s not all though, there’s so much more amazing information to come, as on 13th June we’ll be revealing the full trailer. For now, stay tuned to our Twitter channel and the PES Facebook page for all the latest news. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

Mmm. I've skipped PES Since PES 2014 after buying it every year previously.

Supposedly the PC version will have parity with the console versions this year according to the developers (it's usually gimped). I'll believe it when I see it. If true, I'll get in on PC. I miss PES.

Really wish there was a Switch version though. Perfect game to play on the go or whilst watching tv.

Apparently they're updating the presentation too. Maybe they'll be up to a 2010 standard now.

PES hit its peak in the PS2 era from 2001-06. It was garbage on the PS3 and has had a bit of a resurgence on the PS4. I played 16 a fair bit and enjoyed but it still had its flaws. The presentation was stuck in 2003, it looked amateurish and just like they'd slopped something together. Granted, the gameplay was great, but that needs work too. You'd find keepers making unbelievably poor errors all too often and players with 60 for speed would catch someone with 95. ML was great, but limiting you to only have 3 negotiations at a time (much like it was on the PS2 - WTF), was ridiculous.

I hope this game is great, but I will always have reservations about PES from now on.

And you can just tell what has been available now, is Barca will be overpowered to the max.

PES became too easy for me after playing a few seasons of ML, with Bournemouth. I turned them into a European powerhouse, playing the game as if Barcelona were tearing sides apart.

Transfers are also a bit iffy. So easy to screw over the AI. I took the piss a few times underpaying clubs for players and over pricing my own players. Also ridiculously easy to get your teams player ratings up. I had players like Cam Wilson, J. King, Tim Krul, Simon Cook, and a few others in the high 80s.

I followed the series for many years, growing up playing International Superstar Soccer. Without a doubt invested the most time in PES3.
Was very disappointed in most titles after that.
Do think they are heading in the right direction tho. Enjoyed 17 and will probably pull the trigger on this

i've grown a bit tired of FIFA's "arcadey" feel recently, although a part of that comes from thrashing the game. i played 10 minutes of PES in japan recently (winning eleven 2014 i think so the squads were a bit old) and thought immediately it felt way closer to a football game than FIFA games do. there were good build ups in momentum to key moments, although i could see how this could get "boring" because the pace is probably a bit slow for a video game. but still if the manager mode is half decent i want to pick up the next PES over the next FIFA.

Been playing the demo abit and the gameplay is starting to click with me.
Thinking I'll get both soccer games this year.

Hopefully i can find a good price for PES though.
Not real keen on paying $90-100.

This is out already isn't it? Anyone got it and care to share a review? Not really my cup of tea due to not including lower english leagues, but would be quite interested in giving it a go if it c$$ps all over in FIFA in terms of quality. At least it has South Yorkshire Blues for me to play with

Well I've decided I'm gonna grab PES this year. I really enjoyed PES16, and with FIFA basically being a roster update, I figured what the hell. Don't disappoint me PES.
