I'm all for Cousins , but can't help wondering what Trent's old man thinks of all this considering he made a point of not wanting his boy at WC because of their "culture", of which Benny was the poster boy for. Wonder if old Damir, a known control freak and pushy parent, will kick up a stink. Might not change much for now , but what about down the line when Cotch's contract is up for renewal? Hopefully by then, the kid will've cut the apron strings if he hasn't already, but still, not something to dismiss entirely at this stage IMO.

Hey yeh my family knowd the cotchins and so far i have not herd that he is pissed off i think it would be good for trent wit him there he could learn heaps from him

i don't think that would be an issue at all . West Coast's culture problems were not all on ben cousins, it was a combination of chick, kerr, fletcher and others that caused the culture problem

Cousins will be the odd one out at richmond - and it will be he that will wonder if he can deal with the culture at richmond - not vice versa.

With Richo, johnson, bowdenm, newman around - no one will become cousins sidekick IF he goes AWOL - it will be kicked in the butt immediately

Trent's dad would have an intimate knowledge of how Punt Road operates by now.

I am sure he feels safe about the environment his son is in, Cousins or no Cousins.

Someone get Staff to go and visit Old Man Cotch and Cousins and get him to stamp his authority. That bloke would scare anyone straight.....even Everitt when he was with Hawthorn, he was never the same in the ruck after Staff 'killed' him that day we cam e back from 300 goals down at half time.

That is one of my favourite games ever, and i loved Staff.

Well when I enrolled at a particular uni earlier this year, Gumby was there and his dad was always within 3 inches of him at all times. Obviously lots of paperwork and the sort and Gumby would like whizz over it but dad would read every inch of it. He double checked his answers on the enrollment papers, asked some very stupid questions....Gumby gave it some "Dadddddd"....I honestly felt sorry for the kid. When I left his dad was having this real indepth convo with the guy running the course. Gumby was sitting their with a look of boredom and ashament on his face....i couldn't help but laugh.

The other player I got to see was Houli.....and yes....he is a scary young man. Not Scotty Turner scary...but he gives him a run for his money.
