Looks like Fremantle have just traded with GC for the rights to Peter Faulks. Former Sydney boy. What are the thoughts of Sydney fans on this guy?

He didn't do a great deal for us,played in the Canberra AFL.HOWEVER,has grown into a big defender at Williamstown in the VFL and there was never any doubt he wouldn't get drafted again this year.From what I've heard he will be a good pick up for you.We could have done with him down back ourselves this year.

I'm not sure we could tell you much because he's changed a lot since he left the club - he has bulked up a lot. He had a pretty good season in the reserves in 2008 and was noted for his courageous play and competitiveness despite his slender build. So it was a little surprising when he was delisted after that season. I believe when the Swans cut him they wanted to put him back on the rookie list but he decided not to take them up on the offer.

I saw him play a bit at Willy and most of the time felt like the Swans had made something of a mistake in not persisting with Faulks.

He looked strong, fast, aggressive and far more athletic than what I knew of him with us, but I never saw him play a game for our seconds.

Have been discussing him with a Freo mate at work tonight; Faulks will turn out another shrewd recruit for the Dockers.

I remember seeing him play a NAB Cup match for us and thinking he looked great. I'm pretty sure he beat Lance Franklin. I always thought it might be a mistake delisting him, but there where whispers it was more than just performance behind it.
