Notice that Peter Lonard shot a 2 under 68 to finish 3 shots off the pace in the first round of Colonial Memorial tounament in the USA.
This guy has been very consistent in his first year on the USA tour and is the leading Aussie on the money winnings. Probably is our best golfer on the world front.

Robert Allenby would be #1 with Adam Scott fast challenging for that spot with Leonard a long way behind those two

Maybe a debatable 3rd-5th best in a pack with Stuart Appleby & Peter O'Malley and the Great White Guppy

And if you want to be technical, Australia best golfer on the world stage by a long long long way is the "Carpet Licker"

Lonard is 39th on the money list, high Aussie there. Allenby is 56th. Allenby is higher in the world rankings (28th) and is the most recent Aussie to win a tournament, so I give him the edge.

Funny that, "carpet-licker" hasn't won anything over here in awhile. Maybe the whole coming-out thing has taken her off her game.
