We all have them. Finding new music and thrashing it, relating that music to certain periods in your life, hearing a song 5 years later and remembering at what point in your life that tune was prevelant. It's just about the best thing about music.

But I have a very puzzling one ATM. Very puzzling.

The Smiths. Elliot Smith. Belle and Sebastian. The Cure. The Shins. 2 years ago, anyone saying they were into this stuff in my presence would get a very careful look and would see me walking away backwards very slowly. But it makes sense right now. Last night I put on Slayer and Opeth to change direction, but was back at the whiny stuff within minutes. The missus called me a bender last night, and reverting back to my hard ways I gave her a smack. But even that was lacking feeling.

It doesn't feel right, but at the same time makes perfect sense. Should I feed this urge, or should I snap the **** out of it and smarten up?

It's not gay.

Elliot Smith died by self inflicted stab wounds whilst off his dial and with needles in his arms. That is wicked. Staley had nothing on this bloke.

Zebra, get yourself ****ed. Carlos, get me some ****ing Tool tickets.

I'm not sure a Tool concert is really the type of place where people like you should be Princess Leather Pleasure.

If you like something, go ahead and listen to it and tell everyone else to f*** off and mind their own business.

I had that exact phase about a year ago!

I go through a punk phase nearly every summer, just something about the weather makes me want to drive down burke road with NOFX/Pennywise/Bad Religion/Saves the Day blaring out of my subbies.

Thats what he kept saying as well when his mates kept trying to stop him from dropping his pants in public and touching himself on the front alot.

Not too disimilar to what he's going through at the moment really.
