Props to former Melbourne Tiger import Phil Handy for managing to get a contract with the Golden State Warriors.

I'm surprised that he's made it, but anyway, good luck to him.

Methinks there'd be more then a few guys wallowing in the NBL who read this news with disbelief.

We all know the Warriors are weak at the guard spots, but really, there has to be better options in the world (hell, there'd be 5 better options in Australia).

Rick Brunson is another dud who has somehow managed to get contracts.

Well after finally accepting the fact that Phil Handy was in the NBA, I was further shocked to read today that Bennett Davison (former Tigers import circa 99-00) has been playing pre-season with the LA Clippers! Thankfully the news on ESPN.com was that he has been waived by the Clips as of today, lol. Still caught me by surprise as while he did have a few highlights, I didn't think he really stood out as NBA calibre while in Melbourne.

The Warriors r just stupid, as are the Clippers who have signed Bennett Davison. The fact that he can't shoot is obviously irrelevant

Handy played in the UK a few years back.

He was on a good team but was hardly a key player. Decent defender but not much in the scoring charts if I recall.

NBA....... no way.

Totally agree KC, Handy is an absolute oxygen thief and is quite possibly THE worst import of all time along with Duey Micheals.
