To the best of my recollection Phil had shoulder surgery, possibly a reconstruction during the offseason, I cant remember if he's going to be ready or not for the season proper, lets hope he is for Round 1. As for Gaspar im not sure on his situation (ankle?) but id love to see him out there ASAP too.
Fido had a small operation on his shoulder before Christmas. Nothing major, just a bit of a clean up around the joint.
He's been doing a lot of running, training drills, goal kicking ect, but they don't want him colliding with people at the moment. Might play a practice match in a couple of weeks, but will definitely be ready for the Derby.
Gaspar has had a modified training program, brought on by the huge number of injuries he's had so early in his career.
Can't see him playing in Round1.
Important season for Gaspar. Has huge talent, but he hasn't proved that his body is capable of holding up through an entire season.

Gasper worries me a bit cos he looks like a talent but every time we choose a starting lineup he's on the injury list
like Buzz said, he may have to prove to the club this season that his body can stand up to the rigours of AFL football, because it must be worrying the club with him having this many problems so early in his career

Oddly enough injuries tend to come in patches- something someone like merenda could probably attest to. I'm hoping Gaspar will have got through that patch, and go on to a long and fruitful career
