With a week to go until the National draft it will be interesting to know who everyone thinks we will pick up with pick 13.

I have no opinion on his heart condition but he wouldn't crack my top 15 regardless. In fact, I suspect WC would pass on him if available.

Stephensons heart problem scares me. I mean I guess we have a plethora of 2nd rounders so we can afford the risk but at the same time we saw Pitt leave Freo after a season.

Really starting to get the feeling that Higgins will be available at pick 13 and all this interest in Allen is for pick 21. Very doubtful clark will be on the board at our first pick

Wouldn't mind Higgins, if we were to draft him he'd be up there with the best footy brain out of our mids which I believe we defiantly need at the moment to feed/link up the more physical mids/players in our side.

When you have football smart's you don't need all the physical attributes, see Sam Mitchell.

I'm the opposite. It may be that I'm preparing myself so that I'm not disappointed, but I'm warming to the idea. Clark or a slider is still the definite preference, but I'm ok with Allen if the first 12 play out as expected.

Our position in the second round allows us so much flexibility. We can take risks and select higher floor lower ceiling type players with our 2nd rounders.

Maybe it's just because it's made the lead up to this draft so much more exciting, but I'm loving the Gold Coast trade upon reflection.

I think I could live with it considering I'm not sure he is there at 21. I'd prefer to reach for him than say Houlahan, Logarty, O'Brien etc

I would be very unhappy. Would way prefer we went a brander/Allen. Bailey will be small at AFL level and his kicking isn't great. I feel like his ceiling is a picken type.

If we reach for a mid it will be O'Brien and not Bailey. O'Brien will imo be a very good wingman with extremely good foot skills and a good pick at 13 if others that we want ie Clark, Higgins are gone.
O'Brien is getting severely underated imo on this board because we need inside mids but you also need outside ones with pace and skill which O'Brien has. Rumour on the Carlton board that if they dont take him at 10 then if Clark and Higgins are gone by 13 we will take him

Media has essentially got us locked in for Allen. I for one would be disappointed in this pick. I'm sick of us drafting guys who could "even go through the midfield," just draft a freaking guy who IS A MIDFIELDER.

Higgins would be my ideal recruit for our first pick, Allen for pick 21 if hes available.
