Has fast hands and a reasonable footy IQ. Not sure he has the pace - all the hip surgeries can do that to you, but if he can maintain the toughness and learn to run all day, he’ll be very handy.

He plays footy like an old time rover. Reads the ball off hands really well, hits it at pace, grabs some territory then gets it forward with quick movement to a team mate. Smart instinctive player.

We'll let you claim him Lil. But there's a few of us on here that have been keen to see him for a few years too. I just never thought he'd get his body right, then get his chance to prove himself. I'm glad the club kept patience with him and could see he had talent.

might see a bit of himself in Hugh. I hope he plays out the rest of the season, has a bumper pre-season and cements himself next season. Starting him as sub was a weird move last night.

Hugh got a B+ rating from Nick Riewaldt tonight on Agenda Setters for his game Thursday night. Very positive wrap on the lad from Riewaldt & Cornes. Riewaldt told Zorko to look out for him v Brisbane.

This turned out to be good advice.

I was a fan of Hugh in his draft year so I am pretty happy to see get some games and see what he can do. He has that footballing way about him and I hope he hits the gym hard in the offseason.

I'm happy to see what Liddy can do. Neat player but I really have high hopes that Hugh can push for that fourth banana in the midfield over Wines or at least put some pressure on him.
