Pick 59 & the PSD

Pick 59 is our 1st pick in the November 20 draft....I reckon we'd be mad if we didn't pick up Brad Smith with this pick. We should be able to trump the Weagles with pick 59 & obtain his services....can we overlook a player who has bagged consistent goals in the last 2 years in the Wafl? We got Medders with a pick in the 50's after he bagged 78 (?) goals for Claremont a couple of years ago.

Hopefully we may also be able to nab Scott Delmenico with a late pick as well. Son of Wayne Delmenico, x Sth Freo player from the 80's, & is already 192cm with some more growing to do. Played out of position in the ruck this year, but is well suited to a KP.

As for the PSD....are there any players uncontracted who may be worth a punt on in the PSD? We have pick 8, so I'm guessing most of the useful players would have gone by then.

I think with pick 59 we may still be some chance of getting Andrew Swallow who is an inside midfielder who got permission from the AFL to nominate for this years draft. He is still very young and I think many clubs will pass on him which gives us some chance of getting him. Phil Smart is apparantly a big fan

We will have to wait and see with the PSD as clubs delist players in the coming weeks

You do realise we (the Eagles) have pick 57 at the moment thus making it impossible for you to trump us? If no non-WA clubs want Smith and we do, we'll get him, simple as that. 57 will be our *last* pick should we choose to use it.

Nathan Van Berlo, Andrew Swallow, S Delmenico Surely one of these players will be available at pick 59

James McLeay Lynden Dunn, Michael Newton - of the victorians that might be around at 59.

Van Berlo would be my top pick if available.
I doubt any quality tall young ruckmen will be available at 59. May need to pick a proven VFL/SANFL player up with a later pick.
Would like to pick up a 1 Ruckman, 1 Key Position forward and at least one midfield type player.
