How many (genuinely fast) bowlers can you think of that made their international debuts after they'd already peaked in terms of pace?

The only one that springs to mind for me is Brad Williams. While he was playing for Victoria, he may have been the fastest in the country (pre Lee and Tait), but he didn't seem that fast by the time he debuted for Australia.

Most of the pace bowlers I have heard , got their pace after or when they were trained for being selected to the higher level.

AH nailed it. However, I wanted to say that this thinking is clearly Pakistani. It has its benefits but definitely a lot of drawbacks.
