I don't think you can, but then again, I'm very new here. Similar forums have a button for images next to the button for hyperlinks. This one doesn't.

Instead of using URL in square backets, you use IMG in square brackets with the image address in between.

Here is a test:

Now I'm really confused! I just saw a pic on a thread. I will post below exactly how it was done ie. using the same code...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gardiner doesn't ruck now you troll. Still dirty over the Cat's loss to the Eagles earlier this season? Have a wash with this...

(If you want to look at codes, just hit the "quote" button and all will be revealed.)

code is Off

Now I get it!

You can't post images on [I]this [/I] board... but you can on others. (You will see it written down the very bottom left of the reply page.)

So basically follow my instructions above for any board where it says:

[COLOR=DarkOrange][B][IMG] code is On[/B][/COLOR]

Cheers HC. I have a picture on my computer, how do i post it on the web to put a link to it??

You can't. I'm no expert so don't laff at me if I get the technical terms wrong, but you need it saved on a pooter that is connected to the internet.

Bit of a pain in the azz to set up, but once you have you're set.

This site is possibly the best: http://www.flickr.com/register.gne

But there's heaps others. Even start your own Geocities (Yahoo) or MSN account if you want. They will let you save photos. Photobucket is another one but I'm not sure if it's still around.

And of course, if a photo you like is already on the internet you can link directly to that. (Although some people call this "stealing bandwidth" and some sites even ban it outright.)

But you can't link directly from you pooter - it has to be saved somewhere "on line".

(One other bit of netiquette: if the picture file is massive in kb size it is an unspoken rule that you should maybe resize it so it uses less memory. Some sites will offer to do that automatically.)

BTW, you can't post pics on this board. Just try on another board and press Preview Post instead of Submit Reply.
