Came home zonked (****ed & stoned) from a game of Friday arvo golf the other night. The cook and kid had already eaten and left me to organise my own dinner. The local pizza shop has a deal, buy 2 get the 3rd free (all 3 small for $10). So I surveyed the menu and ordered pizzas off the gourmet menu. Now I'm hooked on their Woodstock Pizza, tomato, cheese, capsicum, artichoke, fetta & capers. Yummy

Agree entirely !!

Pineapple on a pizza is sacrilege, runs a close second to beetroot on a hamburger. Some things should just not be allowed.

Change your ****y pineapple for anchovies next time, that'll make it more interesting.

I agree with Sandie. I can't stand pineapples on a pizza. The place where I work has a couple of pizzas with broccoli on it, and one with beans, sour cream, and corn chips.

Used to work as a Wood -Fired Pizza Cook, and there is almost nothing that you cannot put on a pizza, but then it comes down to personal taste.

I found it suprising how many people are so strongly and emotionally charged toward their dislike of pineapple on pizza's.
I'm not personally offended by them at all, in fact I CAN AND OFTEN DO eat pizza with all sorts of things on it. But of course some people just go too far.

Contrary to popular opinion the 'Pizza' was not invented/created in Italy.
It was a mid to late 19th century invention by the Italians living in the Borroughs of New York.
They took the method of the pizza pie (Calzone) and just opened the pie up, and presented on a flat surface instead.

Messers Domino's and Pizza Hut and their kind didnt come along for almost a century later, much to the detriment of all pizzas, good and delicious.

There has however, remained a trend of a more 'classical' pizza options available in most neighbourhoods by usually super-moustached, hairy chested guissepie's.

Thank God for them, as civilisation would be truly headed toward disaster if proper Pizza was no longer easily available.
